7 months old

I should have titled this post “A day late and a dollar short”. Once again I’m over a month behind in my updates of the girls. For many of you, these details aren’t that big of a deal, but since I’m using this blog as my baby book, I need to keep up!

At 6 months Grace and Lily had a great (last) visit at Arlington Pediatrics. We’re sad that we are leaving the practice and will miss Dr. Sheldon and staff. We have had a wonderful experience with every doctor, nurse, and receptionist there. They are growing well, here are the stats:

Lily-15 lbs, 25 1/4 inches

Grace-13lbs, 13.5 ozs, 24 inches

Both girls love to eat! They are now eating oatmeal in the morning with any of the following: bananas, apples, mango, pears, peaches, or prunes. In the late afternoon/early evening they have another serving of oatmeal with any of the following: butternut squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, zuchini, and avocado. I make all of my own food with the expection of prunes. It is saving us a lot of money to make it as well as it feels good to know exactly what the girls are eating.

Lily is now crawling and Grace can get from one side of the room to the other at a super speed (mostly by rolling and pushing herself backwards). Grace has started “talking” and says “ba ba ba” a lot. Lily makes these crazy Ewok noises which make us laugh.

Lily wearing the sweater and hat my grandmother made. She has the most amazing blue/grey eyes that as of yet have not turned brown.
